Competitions at RIFLES ONLY include scenarios from
hunting, military, and police engagements. They allow the shooter
the best opportunity to network with other shooters and learn about
new techniques and equipment. Competitions are an excellent form
of training. These competitions are challenging and enjoyable for
all competitors. We usually host a "Train-up" session the several
days leading up to the competiton. The Train-up offers competitors,
either seasoned or new to competing, the opportunity to climitize,
exercise their equipment in on the ground conditions, and benefit
from several days of expert instruction to hone their skills for
the contest. The Bunk House is also available for competitors for $15 a night but will be on a first come first serve basis.

The Competition:
This year’s Sniper’s Hide Cup will be restricted to 308 rifles only with the ammunition being provided by Sniper’s Hide and Rifles Only. 10,000 rounds of Cor Bon 175gr 308 ammunition will be on site where 140 rounds will be handed out to each competitor. Cor Bon is producing a match load based off the 175gr Sierra Matchking bullet for each competitor to shoot.
During the handgun portion of the match, only factory stock Glock pistols will be allowed. Glock has already made contact with us and will be sponsoring a portion of the match, so expect to see a Glock on the prize table. 100 rounds of Handgun ammunition will be provided by the competitor. Any competitor arriving with any other make of handgun, or a Glock that has been modified in Any way will not be allowed to compete.
As with other matches, the competitor must begin and end the competition with the same rifle he started the match with or face disqualification from the event. The same rule applies to the use of the handgun. Both weapons will be carried at all times during the match.
This year’s Sniper’s Hide Cup will feature traditional events as well as events in the run and gun format. With the projected dates and times, it will allow us to have an additional 4-5 hours for events. The Sniper’s Hide Cup will again feature a helicopter event using a house carbine. Carbine ammunition will be provided by the match organizers.
Expect a very physical event, please if you have physical restrictions to movement consider another venue. More steel and more movers will be featured as the target package at Rifles Only is continuously being upgraded.
Competitors will be allowed to zero their rifle using the supplied Cor Bon ammunition after the Safety Brief on Thursday morning. The 140 rounds of Cor Bon ammunition accounts for the rounds necessary to zero and all the ammunition necessary to compete in the event.
Included are match t-shirts and Bar-B-Que on Saturday night. Lunches will be available for $6 on match days.
